A commercial airliner piloted by Brodie Torrance encounters a violent storm and is damaged critically, forcing an emergency landing. Stranded on a remote island in the Philippines with a hostile environment, the crew and passengers must navigate their precarious situation. Among them is Louis Gaspare, a mysterious passenger with a secretive past, transported in handcuffs by the FBI. As the survivors cope with their dire circumstances, they soon find that the island hosts far greater dangers than the natural elements.

Within hours, the survivors discover that the island is controlled by a group of violent separatists.
