Eddie Farrell, a small-time con artist, stumbles upon an empty mansion while on the run from his latest scam gone wrong. He decides to take advantage of the situation by posing as a house-sitter for the affluent owners. His deception takes an unexpected turn when he is mistaken for an old friend of the homeowners' daughter.
