PlotCarl Allen is a man stuck in a rut, with his life at a standstill after a painful divorce. He dodges his friends, neglects opportunities, and generally says no to everything, leading to a monotonous and unfulfilling existence. His routine life takes an unexpected turn when he attends a motivational seminar. There, he makes a covenant to say yes to every opportunity, request, or invitation that comes his way. This new pledge is initially met with skepticism, but Carl soon finds that embracing every chance opens up a world of possibilities.
As Carl embarks on this journey of affirmation, his life transforms in extraordinary ways. He finds himself on a path of personal and professional rejuvenation, engaging in activities he never would have considered before, from learning new skills to traveling to new places. Through saying yes, he improves his career, revitalizes relationships, and even sparks a romance with an intriguing and spirited woman. However, as he becomes more entangled in his commitment to living affirmatively, he also encounters the unexpected consequences and challenges that come from never saying no. This journey forces him to evaluate the balance between opportunity and responsibility, leading to a series of comedic and enriching experiences that redefine his life.
