Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe remain stranded in Africa. After the penguins leave them behind in their quest for Monte Carlo, the group decides to take matters into their own paws to find their way back to New York. They venture to Monaco to locate the penguins and their monkey companions with the hopes of using their mechanical skills and the penguins' stealth plane to return home. However, their escapade soon turns chaotic as they gambol through the casinos, drawing attention and triggering a high-speed chase through the streets of Monte Carlo under the pursuit of the relentless animal control officer, Captain Chantel DuBois. DuBois is particularly zealous, with a personal vendetta against Alex, and vows to capture him for her collection of stuffed and mounted animals.

The group ultimately stumbles upon a traveling circus train and, in a desperate attempt to elude capture, claim they are circus animals themselves. They meet an array of new characters: the charismatic tiger Vitaly, the flirtatious jaguar Gia, and the goofy sea lion Stefano. Each circus performer has their own hardships and dreams as they struggle to reignite interest in the waning circus. The New York foursome attempts to blend in with their new companions, pretending to have signature circus acts, all while planning to revamp the show, creating a spectacular enough performance to land a contract for an American tour that could finally bring them home.
