Cannibal Ferox
Director: Umberto Lenzi
Actors: Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Lorraine De Selle, Danilo Mattei
PlotA group of three American friends set out on an adventure in the Amazon rainforest with the intention of disproving the existence of cannibal tribes. Leading the expedition is Gloria, a doctoral candidate in anthropology, who is joined by her brother Rudy and their friend Pat. They believe the idea of cannibalism is a myth perpetuated by colonialist attitudes and misinformation. As they journey deeper into the jungle, their resolve is challenged by the wild environment and their own preconceptions.
The travelers encounter two men, Joe and Mike, who claim to be on the run after their companion was devoured by the very tribes they set out to debunk. Despite their skepticism, the group realizes that the jungle holds more danger than they anticipated. As their situation becomes increasingly precarious, they find themselves caught in a web of violence and primal terror. The further they venture, the more the line between myth and reality blurs, leading them toward a confrontation with the brutal truths of survival in an unforgiving land.
