Dark Skies
Director: Scott Stewart
Actors: Keri Russell, Jake Brennan, Josh Hamilton
PlotThe Barrett family, consisting of Lacy, her husband Daniel, and their two sons, Jesse and Sam, leads an ordinary suburban life until a series of strange, inexplicable events begins to disturb their peace. Initially dismissing occurrences such as alarms going off for no reason, strange marks on their bodies, and a mass of photos scattered throughout the house as mere coincidences or the mischief of neighborhood kids, their skepticism slowly turns to concern. The disturbances escalate from benign oddities to terrifying incidents that defy logical explanation, including a bizarre pattern of flocks of birds crashing into their home.
As the frequency and intensity of these anomalies increase, Lacy and Daniel desperately seek answers to what is happening to their family. Their investigation leads them to Edwin Pollard, an expert in the unexplained who suggests that the family is being targeted by a malevolent force that cannot be stopped by conventional means. The Barretts find themselves isolated by their friends and community as they attempt to follow Pollard's advice to protect their family. Meanwhile, the couple's relationship strains under the pressure of the inexplicable events, and they must come to terms with the challenge of safeguarding their children from an impending unknown threat.

Dark Skies divides; hailed as terrifying by some, called generic by others. Excellent video/audio; mixed on content.
