Hickok
Director: Timothy Woodward Jr.
Actors: Luke Hemsworth, Kris Kristofferson, Trace Adkins
PlotWild Bill Hickok, a legendary lawman and gunslinger with a notorious reputation, arrives in Abilene, Kansas, looking to escape his past and start anew. The town is on the brink of chaos, overrun by outlaws, and the weak local law enforcement is unable to maintain order. The mayor, fearing for the safety of his community, makes a bold decision, appointing Hickok as the town's marshal. With a new sense of purpose, Hickok sets out to enforce the law and bring peace, imposing a strict rule that no guns are to be worn or carried in town. His reputation precedes him, causing tension and anger among the local troublemakers who are not eager to submit to his authority.
As Hickok embarks on his mission to clean up Abilene, he encounters a variety of formidable foes, including Phil Poe, a powerful saloon owner who is not only a master of illicit dealings but also has a personal vendetta against Hickok. Renewed conflicts force Hickok to face his demons, question his use of violence, and look to his past for answers. His commitment to the law is tested as he navigates complicated relationships and rivalries. Hickok's struggle is not just with the outlaws, but also with gaining the trust of the locals, who are skeptical of his violent history and whether he truly can leave it behind for the greater good of Abilene.
