PlotA group of Vikings led by Asbjorn suffers a shipwreck in a storm and washes ashore on the coast of Alba. Stranded in unfamiliar and hostile territory, they encounter fierce resistance from the local forces. Soon after, they capture a valuable hostage, Lady Inghean, the daughter of King Dunchaid, hoping to secure a hefty ransom for their safe passage. As the Vikings journey through treacherous landscapes, they must evade the king's relentless mercenaries who are hot on their trail, driven by orders to retrieve Lady Inghean at all costs.
The quest for survival becomes more perilous as the Vikings navigate through rugged terrain and face brutal skirmishes with their pursuers. Along the way, they encounter a monk named Conall who possesses extensive knowledge of the land and reluctantly agrees to guide them. Strained by internal conflicts and the ever-present threat of capture, the Vikings are continuously pushed to their limits. As their journey progresses, they must make difficult decisions and forge uneasy alliances, all while battling the elements and their enemies in a desperate bid to reach their goal.
