PlotAn intellectual property expert named Joe Ross has developed a highly valuable process dubbed "The Process," which promises to revolutionize the industry and bring fortune to his company. Working on a resort island away from the corporate headquarters, Joe meets a wealthy and charming stranger, Jimmy Dell, who appears to take an interest in Joe and his work. While Joe's corporate contributions are significant, he remains uncertain about his compensation and future with the firm. His sense of being undervalued and his anxiety over securing his fortune make him vulnerable to manipulation.
Joe's new acquaintance, Jimmy, seems to offer a friendship as well as a window into a world of affluence and sophistication. As Joe becomes increasingly paranoid about his company's intentions, Jimmy suggests that his employers may be seeking to cheat him out of his rightful earnings. The trust Joe places in Jimmy leads him down a perplexing path filled with deceit and complexities. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Susan Ricci who works with Joe may be the only person he feels he can trust, but in the web of intrigue around "The Process," trust is a commodity in short supply. As the plot unfolds, Joe is caught in a web of international intrigue and corporate espionage that challenges his perceptions of alliance and betrayal.
