PlotA former elite operative, struggling to overcome his damaged emotional state after a tragic personal loss, lives on the fringe of society. Despite his formidable combat skills, he is unable to engage with life and has lost the will to protect himself or others. Unbeknownst to him, his life is on a collision course with that of a young Chinese girl, whose extraordinary numerical memory has made her the target of various powerful criminal organizations. These include the Russian mafia, a corrupt faction of the New York City police, and a notorious Chinese triad. All are eager to use her ability for their financial gain. As fate would have it, she escapes from the gangsters' clutches and crosses paths with the reticent warrior.
The chance encounter sparks a latent protective instinct in the former operative, and against his better judgment, he decides to help the girl. His decision plunges them both into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse through the streets of New York. As they dodge bullets and outsmart their pursuers, an unlikely bond forms between the battle-hardened man and the intellectually gifted child. He becomes her guardian, willing to utilize his extensive set of skills to safeguard her from the dangerous factions eager to kidnap her for the secrets her mind holds. His actions set off a violent confrontation that neither the city's underbelly nor its corrupt officials are ready for.
