Trapped Ashes
Director: Sean S. Cunningham, Joe Dante, John Gaeta
Actors: Jayce Bartok, Henry Gibson, Lara Harris
PlotA small group of strangers, including a TV actress, a screenwriter, a housewife, and an avant-garde filmmaker, participate in a guided tour of a legendary old Hollywood movie studio. During the tour, they find themselves locked inside a mysterious soundstage known for its bizarre history. The sinister tour guide insists they must each reveal the darkest, most disturbing stories from their past if they hope to be freed, emphasizing that their survival depends on their willingness to confess. With mounting dread and suspicion, the group reluctantly agrees to share their secrets one by one.
As each person begins telling their tale, the stories unfold in vivid, bizarre vignettes: one recounts an unsettling honeymoon in Japan that leads to horror after an unusual blood ritual; another tells of a disturbing pregnancy involving a parasitic creature; a different visitor relates an encounter with immortality that turns out to be a curse rather than a blessing; and another recalls an erotic yet nightmarish obsession between two lovers separated by death. The confessions increase the tension and unease among the group as supernatural elements invade both their stories and their current reality on the set. The fate of the group remains uncertain as the full impact of their revelations and the studio’s dark legacy begin to take shape.
