Retired army scout Sam Varner rescues a woman named Sarah Carver and her half-Indian son from an Apache camp. Sarah has been living as a captive of the Apaches for many years, and Sam takes it upon himself to escort her and her son to safety. Although Sam is somewhat reluctant, he decides to bring them to his ranch in New Mexico, providing them with a safe haven. Sarah only reluctantly shares information about the boy’s father, Salvaje, a fearsome and relentless warrior known for his brutality and adept tracking skills.
