Jurassic Park
Director: Steven Spielberg
Actors: Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum
PlotOn a remote island off the coast of Costa Rica, billionaire entrepreneur John Hammond has created a groundbreaking theme park featuring genetically resurrected dinosaurs. Hammond invites paleontologists Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, along with mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, to endorse the park's safety. Accompanied by Hammond's grandchildren, Tim and Lex Murphy, this team sets out to experience the park, as Hammond's vision promises a controlled environment where visitors can marvel at these prehistoric creatures brought back to life. The park's staff ensures that every precaution has been taken to ensure the security of both the visitors and the dinosaurs, with electric fences and automated systems in place.
As a tropical storm approaches, a disgruntled park programmer, seeking to profit from corporate espionage, sabotages the park's security systems to conceal his theft of dinosaur embryos. This act of treachery leads to a catastrophic failure of the park's containment measures. With the power out and communications down, the select group on the tour find themselves in grave danger as the dinosaurs, no longer constrained, begin to roam the island freely. The group becomes separated during the ensuing chaos, as predatory creatures assert their dominance in an environment unprepared for their instinctual behaviors. The thrill of witnessing living dinosaurs quickly turns into a harrowing fight for survival, as the team must navigate through the perilous jungle to find safety and restore order to the once majestic Jurassic Park.
