The Road Within

PlotVincent, a young man with Tourette's syndrome, is placed in a behavioral clinic following his mother's death. At the clinic, he meets Marie, who is battling anorexia, and Alex, who struggles with OCD. The three form an unlikely bond despite their differing challenges. Vincent's father, a politician, is reluctant to deal with his son's condition and deposits Vincent in the clinic to focus on his re-election campaign. Feeling isolated and misunderstood, Vincent dreams of spreading his mother's ashes at the ocean, a wish she had before she passed away.
The trio decides to escape from the clinic in order to fulfill Vincent's quest. They steal a car and embark on a road trip across California, facing various obstacles and learning from each other along the way. Their adventures lead them through emotional confrontations and moments of self-discovery as they navigate the complexities of their conditions. Meanwhile, Vincent's father and Dr. Rose, the head of the clinic, frantically search for them, leading to unexpected consequences and revelations about acceptance, friendship, and the importance of being true to oneself.
