Amnesiac
Director: Michael Polish
Actors: Kate Bosworth, Wes Bentley, Olivia Rose Keegan
PlotA man wakes up in a bed, injured and with no memory of who he is or how he got there. The only person for company is a woman who claims to be his wife, providing him with care as he recuperates in their spacious, isolated estate. The setting seems idyllic, yet the man's amnesia keeps him uneasy, unable to shake off a persistent feeling that something is terribly off about his situation. As he begins to piece together fragments of his memory, he finds clues that suggest his life before the accident was far removed from the serene existence the woman describes. The estate no longer feels like a sanctuary but a gilded cage, with every corner hiding potential secrets about his true identity and what led to his current state.
As the man delves deeper into the mystery of his past and the reality of his present, he starts to question everything the woman tells him. The suspicion grows when he encounters strange occurrences within the house, suggesting that there might be more to his "accident" and amnesia than a simple mishap. His quest for truth becomes a perilous journey as he uncovers hidden aspects of his life and the people in it, realizing that the key to his identity and future lies in solving the puzzles of his past. The sense of urgency escalates when he realizes that his very survival might depend on distinguishing ally from foe in a world where appearances deceive.
