PlotEx-CIA agent Sands is determined to thwart a coup d'état attempt that could topple the President of Mexico and benefit a notorious drug kingpin. Sands recruits El Mariachi, a man with a troubled past and a talent for violence, who has his motive for seeking retribution. As a gunslinger with a personal vendetta, El Mariachi is drawn into a convoluted plot involving corrupt government officials, military generals, and the criminal underworld. While Sands manipulates multiple parties to serve his goal, El Mariachi navigates through a maze of betrayal and deception.
In the midst of political turmoil and imminent chaos, El Mariachi encounters a series of characters from his past, including the beautiful Carolina, who plays a pivotal role in his life. As the coup's execution day approaches, El Mariachi's path converges with that of other mercenaries and killers with their agendas. The struggle for power and revenge sets the stage for an explosive confrontation, where loyalties are questioned, and the lines between enemy and ally blur. El Mariachi must use his exceptional skills and navigate through the intricate web of danger if he hopes to survive and protect what he holds dear.
