A down-on-his-luck actor, grappling with financial instability and a waning career, reluctantly accepts a $1 million offer to attend the birthday party of a wealthy superfan. The fan, a charismatic and enigmatic figure, lives on a remote island and professes an almost obsessive admiration for the actor's work.
