PlotSigurd, an archaeologist passionate about uncovering Norse history, is struggling to balance his professional pursuits and his responsibilities as a father to his two children. After deciphering runes on an ancient Viking ship, he becomes convinced that the legendary Ragnarok, the end of the world according to Norse mythology, is rooted in an actual historical event. Eager to validate his theories, Sigurd sets out on an expedition to Finnmark, a remote area more known for its wilderness than for any vestige of civilization, dragging along his kids and fellow archaeologist Allan.
The journey leads them to the heart of an uncharted forest where they stumble upon remnants of Viking activity. As they venture deeper, the team realizes they may have awakened something far more dangerous than what they had anticipated. The once skeptical colleagues become avid believers as they piece together the chilling reality behind the myth. Their quest transforms into a race for survival as Sigurd and his group confront both natural and supernatural elements that test their resolve and resourcefulness.
