Grown Ups
Director: Dennis Dugan
Actors: Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek, Kevin James
PlotFive childhood friends reunite after thirty years to attend the funeral of their beloved middle school basketball coach. Leading different lives across the country, they return to their small hometown with their families in tow to honor the man who taught them the game and valuable life lessons. The reunion sparks a decision to spend the Fourth of July weekend together at a lakeside cottage where they celebrated their basketball championship years ago. This setting becomes the backdrop for both nostalgic reminiscences and the clash of adult personalities.
Throughout the weekend, the group and their families engage in various activities that stir up childhood memories, highlight their current life challenges, and expose the changes that have occurred over the years. From playing basketball to an amusing water park adventure, their interactions reveal underlying tensions, unresolved issues, and the enduring bond of friendship. As they navigate through laughter, awkward situations, and heartfelt moments, the friends confront the realities of aging, parenting, and the paths their lives have taken since their youthful days of innocence and simple joys.

Grown Ups' charm by its cast is dulled by weak script and pacing, making the Blu-ray a mere rental.
