PlotGloria, an out-of-work party girl, finds her life spiraling out of control after her boyfriend Tim kicks her out of their New York apartment due to her irresponsible behavior and excessive drinking. With nowhere else to go, Gloria returns to her small hometown to start anew, moving back into her vacant childhood home. In an attempt to rebuild her life, she reconnects with her childhood friend Oscar, who now runs his late father's bar. Oscar provides Gloria with a job and old furniture to furnish her empty house. As Gloria struggles with the monotony of small-town life and her own personal demons, she continues to engage in heavy drinking, often passing out and awakening with little memory of the night before.
Simultaneously, on the other side of the world in Seoul, South Korea, a towering monster appears out of nowhere, causing panic and destruction. As Gloria follows the news of the creature's chaotic rampages, she begins to notice an uncanny connection between herself and the events occurring in Seoul. The startling realization dawns on her that her seemingly inconsequential actions in the small town have far-reaching consequences across the globe. This leads to a bizarre and surreal situation where she starts to understand the power she wields and must confront the reality of the impact one individual can have on the world.
