PlotIn an attempt to stay closer to the medical treatment for their cancer-stricken son, Matt, a family relocates to a dilapidated Victorian house in Connecticut. Upon arrival, they are drawn to the house's spaciousness and affordability, unaware of its dark history as a former funeral home where sinister experiments were conducted. As they settle in, Matt's health improves, but strange and terrifying phenomena begin to occur. Objects move on their own, sinister whispers echo through the corridors at night, and ominous figures are glimpsed in the shadows, creating an atmosphere thick with dread and foreboding.
The haunting escalates when Matt, drawn by inexplicable forces, discovers a menacing and mysterious space in the basement, revealing clues to the house's morbid past. The family's hope for a peaceful life becomes entwined with fear as they try to unravel the secrets hidden within the walls of their new home. Desperate for answers and a solution to their increasingly perilous situation, they enlist the help of a local priest who believes the house may be a gateway to the supernatural. Together, they must confront the house's horrific history to save themselves from the malevolent forces at play, pushing the limits of their sanity in the process.

The Haunting in Connecticut is a stale, clichéd horror with decent characters, better on Blu-ray.
