Burt Gummer and his son Travis Welker receive a call for help from a remote research facility in Canada's Nunavut Territory, where a group of scientists is facing deadly attacks from Graboids. These prehistoric subterranean creatures have made their way to the Arctic, exhibiting new and more lethal abilities. Burt and Travis soon discover that the cold environment may be influencing the Graboids' behavior, making them even more dangerous.
