An Indian family, the Kadams, relocates to a quaint village in the south of France after a fire destroys their Mumbai restaurant. Led by patriarch Papa, they open a new eatery, Maison Mumbai, directly across the street from the upscale, Michelin-starred French restaurant Le Saule Pleureur, run by the stern Madame Mallory.
