Actors: Linda Manz, Dennis Hopper, Sharon Farrell
PlotA troubled young girl named Cebe navigates an uneasy path through the perils of adolescence. Cast adrift by a society that’s far from ideal, her life is one of disillusion and rebellion, underscored by a deep love for punk music. Cebe’s existence is tightly interwoven with the legacy of her father, Don, whose outlandish, destructive behaviors have led to incarceration and overshadowed Cebe's life. Her mother, Kathy, struggles with her own demons and addiction problems, bringing further instability and chaos into their fraught household. With her parents unable to provide a nurturing environment, Cebe desperately seeks connection and meaning in an indifferent world, finding solace in the defiant strains of Elvis and the Sex Pistols.
The precarious equilibrium of their dysfunctional family is thrown into disarray when Don is released from prison, his arrival provoking a mixture of longing and dread. The fractured family unit grapples with the possibilities of redemption and the hope of a more conventional life. Each member's deep-seated issues and aspirations collide as they attempt to reconcile the family’s painful past with an uncertain future. The struggle to achieve some sense of normalcy becomes increasingly intense as Cebe yearns for her father's love while battling the alienation and rootlessness that plagues her.
