PlotIn post-Katrina New Orleans, four childhood friends face an uncertain future after their homes and livelihoods are devastated by the hurricane. Blink, an aspiring comic book artist, and his friends Miracle, Andre, and Junior struggle to find legitimate work and financial stability. Desperate and with no other options in sight, the group is lured into a dangerous heist by a local gangster named Cousin Bass. The plan involves robbing a casino, but the heist goes horribly wrong, and the friends find themselves on the run from both the police and mob enforcers.
As they navigate the perilous streets of New Orleans, the group must confront their own moral dilemmas and loyalties. Along the way, they encounter various characters attempting to survive amidst the city's ravaged landscape, including Blink’s estranged wife Demyra and a relentless detective named Lucinda Valencia. With tensions rising and their lives hanging in the balance, the friends must determine how far they are willing to go to secure a future for themselves amidst chaos and corruption. What once started as a desperate bid for survival soon becomes a test of friendship, resilience, and the pursuit of redemption in the face of overwhelming adversity.
