In the gloomy landscape of the European countryside, a revival from the grave sets the stage for a terrifying encounter. Waldemar Daninsky, the cursed protagonist with a lycanthropic affliction, finds himself inadvertently resurrected by two unsuspicious medical students, Elvira and Genevieve, who are researching the legend of a notorious vampiress, Countess Wandesa Dárvula de Nadasdy. Waldemar, struggling with his own dark secret, warns the eager pair about the dangers that lurk in the region, especially as they become increasingly obsessed with unraveling the mystery of the Countess’s final resting place.
