Dante Hicks and Randal Graves, long-time friends and clerks at the Quick Stop convenience store in New Jersey, find their mundane lives upended when the store burns down under questionable circumstances. Facing unemployment, the duo is forced to take jobs at Mooby's, a fast-food restaurant. Despite the change in setting, their days continue to be highlighted by their characteristic banter, customer service mishaps, and the existential dread of their thirties creeping up on them. As they navigate this new environment, they're joined by a lively cast of characters including their manager Becky and the Christian employee Elias, who becomes the butt of many of Randal's jokes.
