Striking Distance
Director: Rowdy Herrington
Actors: Bruce Willis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Farina
PlotA Pittsburgh homicide detective, Tom Hardy, is demoted to river patrol after accusing his partner of being a serial killer, a claim that turns his colleagues and family against him. Hardy, comes from a long line of Pittsburgh law enforcement officers, making his fall from grace even more painful. This rift puts him at odds with not just the police department but also his own family, particularly his father and cousin, both of whom are deeply entrenched in the police force. Hardy's life takes an even darker turn when his ex-girlfriend is murdered, and he becomes deeply involved in the case, which seems to be connected to a series of unsolved murders the department had been dealing with.
Now reassigned to the Pittsburgh River Rescue squad, Hardy is partnered with Jo Christman, a new recruit with a mysterious past. The duo patrols the city's three rivers, uncovering clues that lead Hardy to suspect a connection between the unsolved murders and the police department. As Hardy and Christman dig deeper, they find themselves navigating not just the treacherous waters of the rivers but also a dangerous path through corruption and betrayal within the force. Their investigation draws them closer to the killer, but also puts them squarely in the crosshairs of a conspiracy that threatens to end Hardy's career, or worse, his life, before he can expose the truth.
