A successful real estate developer named Wendell Lawson learns he has a terminal illness and only has months to live. Struggling to come to terms with this reality, he decides to take control of his destiny by ending his own life. Throughout various botched suicide attempts, he grapples with his fear and uncertainty while seeking a quick and painless way out. Wendell’s journey becomes increasingly frantic and unstructured as he confronts the absurdity of his situation, highlighted by moments of dark humor and reflection on his past choices and relationships.

In a desperate attempt to secure assistance, Wendell befriends Marlon Borunki, an eccentric and mentally unstable fellow patient in a psychiatric institution.
