PlotSecret Service Agent Mike Banning is tasked with protecting US President Allan Trumbull. During a routine fishing trip, drones attack the president's detail, leaving Banning as the sole survivor and the president in a coma. With all evidence pointing to him, Banning becomes the FBI's prime suspect in an assassination attempt. Evading his own agency and the FBI, Banning goes on the run to uncover the real perpetrators and clear his name. His skills are put to the test as he must use all his training and insider knowledge to avoid capture while trying to expose the conspiracy.
As Banning works to unravel the conspiracy, he discovers that the threat runs deeper than he imagined, implicating trusted allies and adversaries within the government's ranks. Fighting against time and an evolving web of treachery, Mike endeavors to protect the president and prevent a looming attack that threatens the stability of the country. The lines between friend and foe blur, and trust becomes a scarce commodity as Banning confronts a complex web of lies to reveal the truth behind the assassination attempt.
