PlotJulie is a single mother living on the outskirts of Paris, struggling to balance her demanding job as a head chambermaid in a luxury hotel with raising her two young children. Her life is a daily battle against time and financial strain, leaving her few moments for herself. Each day is meticulously orchestrated, from early morning wake-ups to catching multiple trains and managing the household before rushing off to work in the city. Her exhausting routine is heightened by an ongoing public transport strike in France, which throws her already fragile schedule into turmoil. Hassled and stressed, Julie desperately tries to find alternative ways to commute while ensuring her children are cared for in her absence.
Amidst this chaos, Julie is presented with an interview opportunity for a marketing job she aspired to have before motherhood altered her path. Seizing this glimpse of hope, she juggles her current responsibilities while secretly preparing for this chance to improve her family's situation. Her determination drives her to navigate her challenging circumstances with increasing urgency, but life continues to throw obstacles in her way, testing her resilience and resolve. As she races against a ticking clock, the film captures her intense struggle and unwavering pursuit of a better life for herself and her children. The film paints a poignant picture of a society where maintaining balance and independence can seem nearly impossible amidst life's relentless demands.
