Director: Gaspar Noé
Actors: Sofia Boutella, Romain Guillermic, Souheila Yacoub
PlotIn a remote, empty school building during the winter of 1996, a French dance troupe celebrates the completion of their rehearsal with an after-party. The multicultural ensemble of dancers, including the ambitious Selva and the fiery David amongst others, revel in their diverse backgrounds and skills, sharing their dreams, plans, and artistic passions. The jubilant atmosphere is fueled by a palpable energy of youthful ambition and the euphoria of dance, highlighting their camaraderie and the intensity of their craft.
As the night progresses, the celebratory mood escalates with pulsating electronic music and exuberant dance routines. Unbeknownst to the dancers, their sangria has been spiked with LSD. Tensions rise and hallucinations take hold, transforming the rehearsal space into a claustrophobic labyrinth of paranoia and hysteria. The once tightly-knit group begins to fracture as their psychedelic trip descends into chaos. Relationships are tested and true natures are exposed, as what began as a vibrant celebration morphs into a nightmarish ordeal that will leave none of them unchanged.
