PlotIn the opening act, the narrative follows a British teacher living in Turin, Italy, whose life takes a dramatic turn following her husband's unfortunate death due to drug overdose. Driven by grief and a thirst for justice, she decides to take the law into her hands to confront the powerful drug lord she believes is responsible. Her plan, however, goes awry, resulting in the untimely death of four innocent men. This tragic mistake plunges her into a deep sea of guilt and forces her on the run from the law, with her actions drawing the attention of both the police and the criminal underworld she sought to fight against.
As the fugitive embarks on a desperate escape, she unexpectedly finds an ally in a young police officer who is deeply touched by her story and becomes her protector. This unlikely partnership forms the heart of the tale, as they both embark on a journey not just of physical evasion, but of emotional and moral discovery. Their fledging relationship, grounded in mutual redemption and the search for absolution, navigates the complexities of justice, revenge, and the chance for a new beginning amidst their flight.
