Glen, a gentle and shy living puppet, discovers he is the offspring of the infamous killer dolls Chucky and Tiffany. He finds his parents in Hollywood, where a movie is being made about their gruesome exploits. Tormented by his existence and desperate to know his true purpose, Glen uses a voodoo amulet to bring Chucky and Tiffany back to life. Upon reanimation, the murderous couple is thrilled to meet their child but are soon at odds with Glen's aversion to killing. Tiffany, experiencing maternal instincts, wants to live as a human being again, while Chucky has no desire to abandon his doll form or his murderous ways.

Meanwhile, an actress becomes the target of the dolls, as Tiffany plots a way to transfer her soul into the actress's body, which involves performing a ritual with the actress pregnant with the seed of Chucky. Amidst a string of murders that Chucky cannot resist, Glen struggles with a serious identity crisis and questions about his own existence.
