PlotIn medieval Europe, a young thief named Phillipe Gaston escapes from the dungeons of Aquila, evading his captors with deftness and wit. His escape angers the corrupt and powerful Bishop of Aquila, who has a dark secret he fiercely protects. The young thief, often called "The Mouse," soon encounters a stoic and mysterious knight named Etienne Navarre, who, along with his beautiful hawk, is on a quest for vengeance against the Bishop. Bound by a shared enemy, the unlikely trio forms a precarious alliance, driven by the desire to break the curse cast by the Bishop that keeps them apart in a most cruel and unusual way.
Unbeknownst to Phillipe, the knight and his hawk bear a heartbreaking curse that only reveals itself with the cycle of day and night. By day, Navarre rides with his hawk under the sun, a man of strength and resolve, while by night, a stunning transformation occurs, revealing a connection between the knight and his bird that is both mystical and deeply tragic. This magical curse leaves the pair eternally separated by time, together yet apart, a riddle that seems unsolvable. As they journey together, battling soldiers and navigating treacherous landscapes, Phillipe becomes increasingly entwined in their fate, determined to help them overcome the Bishop's dark magic and restore their lives to normalcy, embodying hope and the possibility of redemption in a world overshadowed by darkness and despair.
