PlotIn 1978 Hell's Kitchen, New York, three housewives find themselves destitute after their mobster husbands are sent to prison by the FBI. Faced with the reality that their families are not being cared for financially by the remaining mob members, the women, Kathy, Ruby, and Claire, take matters into their own hands. They begin running the neighborhood rackets, proving unexpectedly adept at the murky world of organized crime. As they collect protection money and make deals, they begin to earn the respect and fear of the community.
However, as their power and influence grow, so does the attention from rival mobs and law enforcement. The women face a multitude of challenges as they navigate the violent and treacherous world they've entered. Their ascent to power changes their lives and relationships in profound and irreversible ways. Unbeknownst to them, their actions and decisions during this critical period set in motion a series of events that will alter the balance of power in the Kitchen and the established underworld standing. The alliances they form and the foes they make will determine the future not just for themselves but for the entire neighborhood.
