Tom Dolan is a skilled bank robber who has accumulated over $9 million from various heists across a span of years. Despite his success in evading the authorities, he falls in love with Annie, a bright and kind-hearted woman working at a storage facility. Hoping to start a new life together, Tom decides to turn himself into the FBI with a promise to return all the stolen money in exchange for a reduced sentence.
