PlotClare, a high school student grieving the loss of her mother, stumbles upon an antique Chinese music box that promises to grant its owner seven wishes. Initially skeptical, Clare tests the box and is amazed when her wishes begin to come true, drastically improving her life. Her father's fortunes also improve, and she gains popularity at school. However, Clare soon discovers that each wish comes with a gruesome price as her loved ones start to die under mysterious and horrifying circumstances.
As Clare grapples with the consequences of her wishes, she is torn between the temptation of more desires and the mounting peril to those around her. With the help of her friends, she attempts to understand the box's origins and find a way to break the deadly cycle. This journey not only tests Clare's morality but also forces her to confront the depths of her grief and desires. The closer she gets to unraveling the mystery, the more terrifying the stakes become, leading her to a harrowing realization about the true cost of her newfound fortune.
