A small-town slacker and stoner named Mike Howell lives an unremarkable life as a convenience store clerk. His only highlight is his girlfriend, Phoebe, with whom he plans to leave town for a romantic getaway. Plagued with occasional panic attacks, Mike finds it difficult to leave his comfort zone, and his attempts at a normal life are constantly hindered by this debilitating condition.
