PlotA small-town slacker and stoner named Mike Howell lives an unremarkable life as a convenience store clerk. His only highlight is his girlfriend, Phoebe, with whom he plans to leave town for a romantic getaway. Plagued with occasional panic attacks, Mike finds it difficult to leave his comfort zone, and his attempts at a normal life are constantly hindered by this debilitating condition. Unknown to Mike, his humdrum existence is about to be flipped upside down when he discovers that his lackluster life is a strategically designed cover. Unbeknownst to him, he is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent.
One night, Mike's life takes a bizarre turn when he is approached by a mysterious woman who seems to know him well and utters a series of cryptic words. Those words activate hidden skills and unlock a reservoir of combat abilities that Mike never knew he possessed. Soon, he finds himself tangled in a government operation gone awry as he becomes the target of a deadly government cleanup operation. Mike must rely on his newfound abilities and the help of Phoebe to survive the relentless pursuit of highly trained operatives sent to silence him. As his sleepy small-town existence erupts into a whirlwind of bullets and espionage, Mike starts to piece together his true identity amidst the chaos.
