A group of teenagers wake up to find that their caretakers have mysteriously disappeared from the youth shelter they live in. As they venture outside, they encounter a desolate and eerily quiet town. Initially believing they are alone, they start to revel in their newfound freedom, exploring abandoned homes and stores, enjoying the absence of adult supervision. However, their sense of adventure soon turns to dread as they discover that all the adults have turned into homicidal maniacs.

The teens quickly realize that staying alive means sticking together and avoiding any grown-ups. Tensions rise as fear and uncertainty test the boundaries of their friendship.
