PlotIn Boston, two die-hard basketball fans, Mike and Jimmy, are devastated as their beloved team, the Celtics, face a critical game in the NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz. The Jazz's star player, Lewis Scott, is a significant threat, and his exceptional skills on the court have put the Celtics' chances of victory in jeopardy. Consumed by their obsession and desperation for their team to win, Mike and Jimmy hatch a misguided plan to ensure the Celtics' success. They decide to kidnap Scott, believing that by sidelining him, they will cripple the Jazz's performance and secure a win for the Celtics. Their plan, initially perceived as foolproof, spirals out of their control, leading to unexpected consequences.
As the plot unfolds, the dynamic among the trio takes several turns, highlighting the complexities of fandom, loyalty, and friendship. While Mike and Jimmy aim to keep Scott incapacitated until the game is over, their interactions with him reveal different perspectives on life, success, and competition. The situation grows increasingly complicated as they attempt to navigate their scheme's moral and logistical dilemmas, testing the limits of their fanaticism and their bond. The convergence of their conflicting objectives sets the stage for a series of humorous and tension-filled encounters, underscoring the lengths to which some fans will go to support their team.
