A vengeful fox spirit named Xiaowei is freed from centuries of imprisonment beneath ice. Hungry for human hearts to maintain her beauty, Xiaowei meets a deformed princess named Jing, who has a scarred face and longs to reclaim her lost beauty and is deeply in love with a loyal general named Huo Xin. The two women form a pact: Xiaowei will help Jing regain her former appearance, and in return, Jing will allow Xiaowei to consume her heart.
