PlotA man is discovered floating in the Mediterranean Sea by an Italian fishing boat, riddled with bullet wounds and suffering from severe amnesia. Upon awakening, he finds he possesses extraordinary talents in combat, self-defense, and language skills, although he has no memory of his identity or past life. A tiny laser projector surgically implanted in his hip leads him to a safety deposit box in Zurich, which contains multiple passports, a large sum of money, and a gun. Taking the identity of Jason Bourne from one of the passports, he embarks on a journey to discover who he is and why he's being hunted.
Bourne's search for his identity pulls him into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse across Europe, with assassins and government agents tailing his every move, he struggles to piece together his fragmented past. He partners with Marie, a woman who is initially an unwitting companion but soon becomes an ally in his quest to uncover the truth. As they evade those who are out for Bourne’s capture or death, the tangled web of his former life as a highly skilled operative starts to come into focus, revealing just how far-reaching and perilous his previous profession was.
