PlotTammy is a dissatisfied teenager living in Orange County, California, with her controlling mother and her new stepfather, who is under house arrest. Feeling trapped in a monotonous and oppressive environment, Tammy begins to express her rebellion through obsessive watches of B-movies and has fantasies about escaping her mundane suburban life. Her discontent grows as she deals with her overbearing mother's expectations and her stepfather's eerie presence, which is further amplified by his penchant for watching security monitors. As the pressure mounts at home, Tammy befriends an unstable but charming hustler named Link, who seems to represent the freedom and independence she craves.
Together, in a haze of youthful impulsiveness, Tammy and Link set off on a reckless journey across California. They quickly become entangled in a series of dangerous misadventures that threaten to change their lives forever. As they navigate an underworld filled with crime and chaos, their bond deepens amid the chaos of their choices. Each decision they make pushes them further from safety, leading them to confront the harsh realities of their actions. Throughout their escapades, Tammy grapples with her internal conflict between yearning for liberation and confronting the consequences of living impulsively. The story builds toward a tense climax as they face the inevitable results of their rebellious path.
