Transylvania 6-5000
Director: Rudy De Luca
Actors: Jeff Goldblum, Joseph Bologna, Ed Begley Jr.
PlotTwo tabloid reporters, Jack and Gil, are sent on an assignment to Transylvania by their boss. Tasked with uncovering the truth behind a videotaped sighting of Frankenstein's monster, they embark on what initially appears to be a ludicrous and pointless journey. Upon arrival, they find themselves in a quaint yet oddly unsettling village, where the bizarre and eccentric locals hint at something more than just mere folklore. As they dig deeper, Jack and Gil uncover strange occurrences and mysterious figures, including a mad scientist and a seductive vampire-like woman, which lead them to question the line between fiction and reality.
As the investigation progresses, the reporters' skepticism begins to wane. Encounters with a hunchback, a werewolf, and various other uncanny characters further complicate their mission. Their attempts to snap a sensational story become increasingly farcical as they are tangled in the town's peculiar secrets. Surrounded by an array of odd personalities and situations that challenge their initial cynicism, Jack and Gil must piece together the truth while navigating comedic misadventures and unraveling legends that may not be as mythical as they once believed.
