Sammy and Ray, two elderly sea turtles and lifelong friends, are captured by humans and sent to a marine theme park located on a tropical island. There, they find themselves in an enormous aquarium that houses various sea creatures, each with its own story and quirks. As they navigate their new environment, they meet Ricky and Ella, two young hatchlings who are eager to explore and full of energy. The group quickly realizes that they must rely on one another to find a way back to their families and escape the confines of the aquarium.

They face numerous challenges, including evading the clutches of Big D, a devious seahorse who rules the tank with an iron fin.
