PlotIn a quaint coastal town in Japan, a young woman named Anzu discovers an elusive spectral cat that has been haunting her home for generations. Anzu leads an isolated life working at a local tea shop, but a series of peculiar events bring her closer to understanding the mysterious feline presence. Her fascination grows as the ghostly cat, with its glowing eyes and ethereal aura, begins to communicate with her through cryptic dreams and strange occurrences around the house. Anzu becomes determined to uncover the cat’s enigma, delving into old family journals and local folklore that speak of the ghost cat's origins. As she learns more, she realizes the cat is bound to her family by a promise made many years ago, but its purpose remains shrouded in mystery.
Anzu’s quest becomes entwined with the lives of those around her. She enlists the help of Kazu, a childhood friend with a passion for local legends, and Taro, a skeptic who recently moved to town seeking peace from his troubled past. As the trio investigates further, they are drawn into myriad adventures that unveil hidden secrets about Anzu’s ancestors and unearth buried memories linked to their village’s history. As they piece together snippets of the past and confront their personal fears, a trail of supernatural happenings leads them toward a revelation that could change the course of their lives and bring closure to the ghostly presence that hovers, waiting patiently for its rest.
