PlotClyde Shelton, a family man, witnesses his wife and daughter brutally murdered during a home invasion. The killers are quickly apprehended, but a flawed justice system forces ambitious prosecutor Nick Rice to make a deal with one of the murderers, Clarence Darby. The deal grants Darby a reduced sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice, Rupert Ames. Seeking to bolster his conviction rate, Nick justifies his actions as a practical necessity, but this decision leaves Clyde simmering with a deep sense of injustice and a thirst for vengeance against the system that failed him.
Ten years pass, and Clyde emerges as a changed man, transformed by his simmering rage. He embarks on a meticulously planned mission to expose the systemic failures and corruption in the criminal justice system that allowed the man responsible for his family's death to escape full punishment. As his calculated retribution begins, Nick is thrust into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. With each calculated move, Clyde demonstrates a deep understanding of the legal system, using it against itself to manipulate outcomes and staying a step ahead. Nick finds himself battling against an adversary whose desire for justice knows no bounds and whose actions become increasingly unpredictable and dangerous.

Thriller with decent performances but an implausible plot; solid tech but unremarkable visuals. A popcorn flick for fans.
