PlotLawman Luke Hobbs and outcast Deckard Shaw are two men with a disdain for each other and very different approaches to the law. Their lives are disrupted when a cybernetically-enhanced terrorist named Brixton Lore emerges with a deadly virus that could alter the future of humanity. Brixton, who possesses superhuman strength and advanced technology, works for a shadowy organization with plans for mass destruction. When MI6 operative Hattie Shaw, Deckard's estranged sister, injects herself with the virus to prevent its capture, she becomes a target.
Hobbs and Shaw are reluctantly recruited by the CIA to track down the virus and "save the world". They must find Hattie before Brixton does, and secure the virus within a limited time frame to prevent a global catastrophe. Despite their mutual hostility, Hobbs and Shaw realize that collaboration is essential to stopping Brixton's plan. Their mission takes them across globe, facing off against the genetically-enhanced soldier while also grappling with personal obstacles and the complexities of their own fractured relationship.
