Nora and Mary Dominguez are spoiled sisters living a luxurious life in Beverly Hills until their father's sudden death leaves them penniless. They are forced to move in with their estranged aunt, Aurelia, in a modest East Los Angeles neighborhood. There, they struggle to adapt to their new surroundings and confront their preconceived notions about family, culture, and identity.
